![]() If you want a wholesome manhwa scroll fast. I can tell from the distance that this manhwa leads to a heated and insanely obsessive toxic love between the main characters and I would still eat this up. All the male characters are into the mc which left me a bit infuriated and the seme is of what mortals call, a yandere character. The concept of the jinx is interesting but it's just only that. Everyone looks the same, I could not tell them apart because of similar character designs but I kinda like the art style in this manhwa. I read this manhwa at night just to pass my time and to entertain myself to escape the harshness of reality and what did I receive when I read this? headache. Love Jinx-Chapter 67 Read Love Jinx - Chapter 67 with HD image quality and high loading speed at MangaMirror. But there's one thing messing up his seemingly perfect life a jinx. General Comment: ABSOLUTELY AND IRREVOCABLY A SHITTY BL THAT MAKES ME WANT TO SHATTER GLASS. Every kiss is cursed Haekyung's got it all: looks, personality, job. ⇢ Trigger Warnings: Abuse, Trauma, Mental Abuse, Gaslighting, Non-con, Dub-con If you just want to look at pretty faces or you have more sadistic tendencies and like overbearing control relationships then this may be more interesting for you.⇢ Genre: Contemporary Romance, Slice of Life, Drama, BL The story at face value does seem pretty decent, but I think Woojin is a bit too aggressive for him to be likable as a love interest and Haekyung allows himself to be walked over a bit too much for my taste. While this has elements of both of those things I think that it's better enjoyed as a casual read. I also enjoy a bashful uke, but who is not an extreme pushover. The Final Verdict: I enjoy a bit of is-it-love-or-hate and pushy semes in my yaoi. Unfortunately, as with most manga/manhua/manhwa there is no noticable racial diversity and everyone appears white (maybe mixed asian/white, but that's stretching it). The artist does have a tendency to draw a similar face on many of the characters (Woojin, Wook, Koohin, etc.), but I don't think this is too distracting. Woojin, Haekyung and many of the side characters are very attractive. Lots of biting/grabbing/general manhandling. Yaoi or Shounen-Ai?: While there are sex scenes they are not too explicit, but more so a suggestion of what's going on (you're not going to see d*ck & ass, just from the waist up) and it takes a bit to get to them between the two MCs. There is no real meaningful character progression for side characters unless they have something to do with the relationship between the MCs. And his rationalizations for what he feels and why seem a bit skewed/unrealistic. ![]() Haekyung is likable in some moments and seems to be able to stand up for himself sometimes, but he's pretty weak when it comes to being bossed around by Woojin. While Woojin and other various side love interests are clearly toxic, I don't get the same intense gross feeling from other manga like Blind Play or The Beast Must Die it's not super dark, but it is not very fluffy either. There are themes of dubious consent, relationship violence (both "minimal" & serious), light childhood trauma and overall control. The Tone: I would describe this more along the lines of a soft-core Killing Stalking there is no visually explicit gore or killing, but the main love interest, Woojin, is definitely unhinged and often mistakes his obsession for love/caring about the MC Haekyung. The reunion reignites Woojin's pursuit of Haekyung. ![]() The two MCs end up meeting again 8 years later when Haekyung, after getting dumped, moves into an apartment Woojin also happens to live in. Ever since then Haekyung cannot kiss his partners because something bad always happens when he does, this is his jinx. They have a puppy love until something happens involving Woojin's family that causes Haekyung to break off all contact with him after he graduates from high school and moves away. Quick Summary: Woojin, the son of an important politician, ends up becoming enamored with Haekyung (in a rather unbelievable scenario) in middle school. ![]()
